The songs of monks in a shinto temple, associated with the sounds of coins in a ticket machine (delivering tickets to visit a part of the temple): this is an excerpt of this piece. A strange "sound association" which gives me the idea of this work:

A "sound travel" accross Japan, a country I visited two times, recording a lot of sound...Always mixing tradition, extrem modernity and nature...always.

This work was played during the last festival "SONOR"

Metaccord (2005)   12'40

Metaccord : a chord of chord, a sound "experiment", a tone cluster in constant change. The idea is to explore successively all possible chords: from the 2de minor to the 13rd major, but each "note" which constitute this chord is also itself a chord (i.e. an addition of frequencies from which the rates respects the rates of the chord). Moreover, these chords are evolving progressively from one "position" to another (for example from a third to a quart) and also oscillates periodically between two contiguous chords (for example between 2de minor and 2de major)...
